The Sunwire contest ("Contest") is sponsored and administered by Sunwire Inc. ("Sunwire"). Correct answer to a skill-testing question is required to win. By participating, entrants ("Entrants") agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of Sunwire, which are binding and final, without right of appeal, on all matters relating to this Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.

Eligibility

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be a Sunwire customer account holder in good standing with Sunwire Home Internet service
• Must be in an area where Sunwire offers Internet service
• Contest winner cannot be a Sunwire employee, spouse or reside in the households of any of a Sunwire employee

How to Enter

Existing customers who are subscribed to active Sunwire Home Internet services will automatically be entered into the Contest.

Limit one (1) entry per customer account per draw. By entering this Contest, you are deemed to have accepted the Contest Rules.

Prize

On the days outlined in this document, an Entrant will be selected to receive the Prize. The Prize is 1-year (12-months) of the customer's existing internet service ("existing" means 'at the time the customer won the contest') including modem and standard Wi-Fi rental. The prize must be applied as a monthly credit on the Entrant’s monthly Sunwire bill. The random draw will take place as outlined below. Sunwire will contact the entrant and notify them by the email and/or telephone number on their account.

The prize must be accepted as is. There is no cash value and the prize is non-transferable. Sunwire is not responsible for any costs associated with claiming any prize. If a customer moves addresses, the prize may be continued at the new address if services are available. If internet services are not available, Sunwire will provide free internet service, if possible, at equal or lesser value for a total period of 12-months (or the remaining months; whichever is less).

Draw

Sunwire will draw the name of one (1) residential customer on the following dates:

• 08/08/2023
• 12/09/2023
• 10/10/2023
• 14/11/2023
• 12/12/2023

How to Win

There will be a random draw for the prize and will be conducted by Sunwire in Sudbury, ON.

Sunwire reserves the right to require proof of identity and residence (driver’s license or other government issued photo identification) prior to any prize being awarded.

The selected entrant will be required to correctly answer the following skill-testing question prior to being deemed a winner: 7 x 8 - 6 + 9

Odds of Winning

The odds of being randomly selected for the prize varies and depends on the number of existing customers at the time of the draw.

Winner Notification

Winners will be notified by a phone call to the primary phone number listed on their account at the time of the draw. Winners will be announced on Sunwire's website and social media accounts as soon as winners have been notified following the draw.

If you are identified as a winner you must respond to claim your prize within ten (10) business days. The prize will be forfeited if it goes unclaimed for ten (10) business days, from the date a notification is sent.

In the event the prize is not claimed within the allotted time period, Sunwire will re-draw and choose a new winner.

Use of Information

All personal information collected herein will be used only for the administration of determining your eligibility for the contest draw in accordance with the requirements of Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts.

By participating in this Contest, Contest winners are deemed to have consented to the disclosure of their names and photos, without compensation, being included in any publicity carried out by Sunwire in relation to this Contest.

Limitation of Liability

Sunwire assumes no responsibility for delayed or misdirected entries or for any failure of any website, for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sunwire on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an Entrant’s or any other person’s computer, mobile device or other electronic device related to or resulting from this Contest. In the event the Contest is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond reasonable control of Sunwire which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sunwire reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest.

General Conditions

Entrants agree, by participating, (i) to be bound by the terms of these Contest Rules and the decisions of Sunwire, which are final and binding, without right of appeal, on all matters relating to this Contest, and (ii) to indemnify, release and hold harmless Sunwire, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees from any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Contest or acceptance, misuse, non-use or use of any Prize.

By accepting the Prize, winners release Sunwire from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, or possession of any prize, and acknowledge that Sunwire is not responsible in any way for any issues in connection with the prize awarded or any losses, damages, or claims relating to the Contest.
